Just as an update. I have now been to the open mic at Java Joe's in Milton three times, and every time it has been great. They are very friendly and welcoming. There are also many talented musicians who frequent the event. The order of performers is decided by picking names out of a hat. In theory it is 100% random. The first time I played there, I was first. I like going first. That's fine. The second time I was second, but the lady who was first had an allergic reaction to the cleaning bleach, therefor I was first again. As said before, I like going first, that's fine. This last time I signed up and what do you know, I was first again. I like going first, but 3 out of 3. What are the odds. If I were a betting man I would have lost. I tried to make a joke of it but I am afraid it may have come across to strong. It went well. I played my new song Olive Sun and people seemed to like it. Thanks for listening.

Java Joe's This Friday
This Friday I will be playing at Java Joe's in East Milton Square.
They hold a weekly open mic and this will be my third time
attending. They are a kind group of singer/songwriter folk who seem
to care about what people are playing. Come join us at 7:00 in the PM.
~see you there.

Justin from M-Audio
Here's to Justin from M-Audio in sunny California.

I have been having issues with my FireWire audio interface for sometime now and I finally got so fed up that I called to complain about it and get help to fix it.
Well, Justin didn't fix my problem so much, but he was very nice and laid back, California style. I am awaiting an email that will have serious fix it up instructions.
So, Here is to Justin and here is to technology, when it works!!!

Internet Explorer 7
For those of you still stuck in the 90's and insist on hanging on to an out of date browser, namely Internet Explorer, today is your somewhat lucky day. The huge software company, which shall remained unnamed, has recently released its new version to the almost useless web browser. I discovered this while trying to make my site more IE friendly. Guess what all you IE faithfuls.... you now have tabbed browsing. It only took them 5 years to adopt this wonderful feature. I too used to use IE but was introduced to Safari and Firefox and the world of tabbed browsing. It changed the way I "surf the net, dude" just like TiVo will change the way you watch TV.
Even though this new IE doesn't make my site look any better, IE itself looks a lot better and is a much more useful tool, thanks to the brilliance of whomever thought of tabbed browsing years and years ago and now the goliath software company, afore unmentioned, has adopted this wonderful feature. Enjoy it before they change their mind back.
